- Prepare the opening packet. Include the certified death certificate, the original will if there is one, the request forms, the acceptance and letters form, and any required priority or bond waivers. The court reviews the request and, if the requirements are met, issues the statement and letters testamentary or letters of administration (AS 13.16.015).
